Google Search Console (Google Webmaster Tools) is a web service by Google which allows webmasters to check indexing status and optimize the visibility of their website.
To connect your website to Google Search Console:
Go to search.google.com/search-console/welcome and Sign In, or create an account with Google Search Console.
Once you sign in, select URL prefix, enter your domain and click Continue.
Copy the code from the HTML Tag section and go back to your website.
Go to your Website Editor, click Settings, and select Plugins from the drop-down list. Click Manage, then Add New Plugin and add Google Search Console.
In the Application ID field, enter the code snippet from the HTML Tag you got from Google Search Console. Insert the code, Enable it, and click Save.
Publish your website to update it with the changes you've made.
Once you Publish the website, go back to Google Search Console and click the Verify button to see if your tag was added to the website.
If the process was done correctly, you will get an ownership verification message.
